Coalition for Equity, Inclusion, and Humanity

I am grateful to serve on the Upland Police Department’s Coalition for Equity, Inclusion, and Humanity. Last night Chief Goodman who leads the coalition presented our first steps to the Upland City Council along with Dr. Laura Burgis of the Human Values Center. Dr. Burgis is helping the coalition deploy a data driven approach to survey where we currently are, and tools to point to where we want to go. We as faith leaders and the police department want to create an environment where human values are lifted up. Serving on the Coalition is Jerry Uhler, council member of Grace Lutheran Church, and leaders from the Latter Day Saints, and Bahai faith traditions. Stay tuned for mays to get involved!
