PRELUDE
THANKSGIVING FOR BAPTISM*
Blessed be the holy Trinity, ☩ one God,
living water, solid rock, and our light. Amen.
We are clothed with God’s mercy and forgiveness.
Water may be poured into the font.
We give you thanks, O God, your Spirit moved over the waters.
You delivered Noah and his family from the flood.
You led your people Israel through the sea of slavery into freedom.
Jesus was baptized by John at the Jordan River with the Spirit.
By water and your Word you claim us as daughters and sons.
We praise you for the gift of Living Water.
Renew our lives with your forgiveness, grace, and love.
Amen.
GATHERING SONG* ELW 389
GREETING*
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
And also with you.
CANTICLE OF PRAISE* ELW setting 8
This is the feast of vict’ry for our God,
for the Lamb who was slain has begun his reign. Alleluia.
Worthy is Christ, the Lamb who was slain,
whose blood set us free to be people of God.
Power, riches, wisdom, and strength,
and honor, blessing, and glory are his.
This is the feast of vict’ry for our God,
for the Lamb who was slain has begun his reign. Alleluia.
Sing with all the people of God,
and join in the hymn of all creation:
Blessing, honor, glory and might
be to God and the Lamb forever. Amen.
This is the feast of vict’ry for our God,
for the Lamb who was slain has begun his reign. Alleluia.
PRAYER OF THE DAY*
Loving God, Jesus is the way of peace. Let us follow in the way of his command to love our enemies and share in his risen life. Amen.

PSALM 31:1-5, 15-16
1In you, O Lord, have I taken refuge; let me never be | put to shame;

2Incline your | ear to me;
make haste to de- | liver me.
3Be my strong rock, a castle to keep me safe, for you are my crag | and my stronghold;
for the sake of your name, lead | me and guide me.
4Take me out of the net that they have secretly | set for me,
for you are my tow- | er of strength. R
5Into your hands I com- | mend my spirit,
for you have redeemed me, O Lord, | God of truth.
15My times are | in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who | persecute me.
16Let your face shine up- | on your servant;
save me in your | steadfast love.” R

HYMN OF DAY ELW 595
APOSTLE’S CREED
With the whole church, let us confess our faith.
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
THE PRAYERS* Assisting Minister or Lector
United in the hope and joy of the resurrection, let us pray.
A brief silence.
God of life, strengthen your church to proclaim the gospel in times of trouble. We pray for Christians in Russia, Korea, and Sudan. Hear us, O God.
Your mercy is great.
Creating God, may we protect the earth’s diverse habitats from the forces of pollution, erosion, extinction, and global warming. Hear us, O God.
Your mercy is great.
Word of God, your Spirit guides us into all truth. Give wisdom to all persons to participate in good governance. Hear us, O God.
Your mercy is great.
Loving God, you make your home among us. Abide with all who question if there is a home in your heart. We pray for all who are sick (especially).

Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is indeed right that we should at all times give thanks to you, for the glorious resurrection of Jesus. We praise your name with Mary Magdalene, Peter, with Earth and Sea and all creatures, with angels and archangels, we join their unending hymn:
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY
????Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of pow’r and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory, full of your glory.
Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna, hosanna, hosanna in the highest.
THANKSGIVING AT THE TABLE
LORD’S PRAYER*
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Thank you to the many who sent sympathy cards, and to those who sent their condolences verbally or online.
-We’d like to especially thank Pastor Wes Menke for presiding at the chapel, cemetery, and the Celebration of Life. His words and actions were extremely comforting. We are very fortunate to have Pastor Menke leading us.
